What really happened to the Library of Alexandria?

Many great libraries containing millions of documents were burned or destroyed and the effort of great civilizations found its place in the ashes. The conflicts between the civilizations destroyed an immense amount of works and books.

Today we highly appreciate the works of our ancestors and their effort in storing the knowledge for us. But what was lost in the flames that took hold of the library of Alexandria is still a question that is unsolved.

  1. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog
that’s both equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you,
you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something
not enough folks are speaking intelligently about.

I am very happy that I found this in my search for something relating to this.
