SUBMISSIONS
THE POETICS welcomes unsolicited essays directed to our submissions inbox. Most of our are articles are under 2,000 words. Send a short abstract introducing the piece in your email. The articles cannot have footnotes.
We try to respond as quickly as possible, but receive a large volume of submissions. Our editors are careful not to alter a writer’s opinions or “voice,” but all op-eds are edited for clarity and precision of language and for logic of argumentation and organization. If your draft is selected for publication then one of our editors will contact you within fifteen days’ time.
Contributions should be emailed to the following address, with the text of the article in the body of the email itself or attached as a Word document (but not a PDF):
